About Me
I am a board certified Psychiatrist with over 30 years
experience working in a variety of settings.

I received my bachelors degree from Clemson University and then went on to attend medical school in my home state at the Medical University of South Carolina. I then moved out to the west coast for my Psychiatry specialty training at the University of California, Irvine. I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings as well as in an academic setting serving for a time as Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco.

I opened my own private practice in order to provide caring, individually focused care that I believe each patient deserves. I believe that a strong and mutually respectful therapeutic relationship is key to providing the best care possible. I work with each individual by listening carefully to their symptoms, concerns, and their goals for treatment. We then work collaboratively to arrive at a treatment plan. I provide a warm, empathic, non-judgemental environment in which clients can speak to me openly and honestly.
